For over 40 years, the Calgary and Edmonton Home Shows have been a trusted source of inspiration for homeowners, connecting them with the best in design, renovation, and lifestyle solutions. The Adams Agency was entrusted with leading a comprehensive PR and influencer campaign to amplify engagement and drive attendance. Through creative initiatives like media parties, curated PR boxes, and strategic media partnerships, we proudly delivered impactful results, consistently achieving over 1 million impressions per show and solidifying the Home Shows as must-attend events for Albertans.
Highlights
As the project lead at The Adams Agency, I have spearheaded public relations initiatives for the Calgary and Edmonton Home Shows for over four years, consistently delivering over $110,000 in earned media value and more than 1 million impressions per show. Through strategic planning and creative execution, I developed comprehensive PR campaigns that elevated the profile of these tradeshow events.
I led efforts to secure coverage in top outlets such as CTV Edmonton & Calgary, Global Edmonton & Calgary, CBC Radio, Western Living, Style at Home, the Edmonton Journal and the Calgary Herald. Influencer partnerships with creators like @justinemadesign, @chandeliers.and.champagne, and @thediymommy further expanded the shows’ reach, generating significant online engagement.
The campaigns also included curating unique experiences for media parties and PR boxes, such as DIY Refreshes with ReStore, spa-themed Vanity Refreshes, and New Year yoga events. By fostering partnerships with local businesses and leveraging creative strategies, these efforts not only enhanced the Home Shows’ brand but also spotlighted Alberta’s vibrant community of small businesses and creators.
Additionally, I managed celebrity and talent coordination, overseeing media pitches, interviews, and on-site logistics to ensure seamless execution and experience for talent.
